What to notice
Andorra and Monaco are easy to miss. The United Kingdom is across the Channel, so it is not a land neighbour. Outside this European scope, French Guiana gives France land borders with Brazil and Suriname; Saint Martin also creates a French–Dutch land boundary. Always read the clue’s territorial scope.
Recall countries bordering France
Separate the European list from overseas examples. Explain why Brazil can be correct for one France clue but wrong for another.
