Daily ranking rules: one ranked expedition each day
Sign in before opening the ranked game. A database constraint enforces one ranked attempt per account and competition. Seeing today’s casual clues makes the same known identity ineligible for today’s ranked attempt. Other devices and accounts cannot be perfectly policed; results are server-validated, not described as cheat-proof.
UTC is the common clock
A new challenge opens at 00:00 UTC. The page translates the next reset into your local time. A timed expedition lasts at most ten minutes from its start. Yesterday’s board closes by 00:10 UTC, after which its full answers can be published in the archive.
Equal scores, equal position
A 400 km score and another 400 km score share their rank. If they are first, the next score is third: 1, 1, 3. Neither speed nor display order changes rank. With fewer than 30 results, the board shows actual positions and participant counts without speculative percentile claims.
The weekly best five
The UTC week runs Monday through Sunday. We add your best five valid daily results, with missing days contributing zero. A normal week has a maximum of 2,500 km. The board shows which dates count. Private leagues use the same official results and rules.
Reports and corrections
When a question is wrong, a moderator can void that round consistently across affected attempts. The board and maximum possible score are recomputed. Scores under review remain recorded and can be excluded transparently while an issue is resolved.
